Sam Bottum, a graduate student in Jim Cahoon’s laboratory at UNC Chapel Hill and Integrations Thrust Coordinator, has been awarded one of the 2021 Student Undergraduate Teaching and Staff Awards (SUTASA).
These awards were established in 1989 to recognize outstanding undergraduate teaching by faculty and teaching assistants. Teaching nominations are reviewed by a committee of undergraduate students, and awardees are selected on the basis of “demonstrated and consistent teaching excellence, success in positively affecting a broad spectrum of students both in and outside the classroom and creation of a dynamic learning environment.”.
